We are Wedding and Event Caterers based in Torquay in Devon.
The Plot was founded in 2018 taking inspiration from the amazing food we we're growing on our allotment. Having spent over a decade in catering it seemed natural to take the plunge and be able to create the dishes we wanted and offer the service we would love to receive.
From Private Dinner Parties, Afternoon Tea and Children's Parties to Corporate Events and Weddings, when we plan your event we ensure that the menu is tailored to suit your budget & your needs
There is no better taste than home grown fruit and vegetables, if we can't grow it ourselves we aim to use locally grown and sourced fresh & sustainable produce. We've built strong relationships with many local suppliers around Devon
We are passionate about great food and we offer Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten Free menus along with being able to cater to any other dietary requirements too. The choice is yours!
At The Plot we ensure that we are as ethically and environmentally aware as we can be.
We are always trying to find new ways to decrease our wastage, carbon footprint and the environmental impact we make, directly and indirectly.
One of our main focuses is trying to ensure that the packaging we use and receive is biodegradable, sustainable and is recycled and/or upcycled where possible. Even our business cards are made from recycled paper.
Along with this we try to ensure that the food & products we use are sourced locally to us or to the event we are working, By doing this we try to minimise the distance these products travel whilst ensuring we use only the freshest of food.
At The Plot we strive to be as involved with our local community as we can be, whether that be through using local suppliers for our produce, or by participating in local charitable events. We're lucky enough to be based in Torquay. This gives us the ability to help out in a huge area across Torbay, Teignbridge and Devon as a whole.
We work closely with Feed South Devon CIC a not for profit community interest company providing food support across South Devon
